Do Australia Day Differently!

To our delight, the 26th of January, AKA Australia Day, falls on a Saturday this year. What a ripper! That means a long weekend full of sunshine and celebrations is almost upon us.

But each year, how much of this weekend do you spend searching for a parking spot, battling large crowds or finding the perfect picnic area that isn’t already taken? Well, stress no more! Spend your Aussie Day long weekend with Mandurah Boat and Bike Hire and have the relaxing family time you deserve.

Picnic on the water

Forget the foreshore! Hire one of our boats and take your family on a cruise through the estuary, marina or peel inlet. Keep an eye out for dolphins, waterbirds, and simply take in the beautiful sights around you. You can bring your own feast, but our larger boats even have barbecues—and there’s no better way to celebrate Australia Day than throwing a few snags on the barbie!

With vessels that can hold four to twelve people, you can bring the whole family (including any furry friends), and best of all, our boats are extremely easy to drive, so you don’t need a skipper’s ticket to operate them during daylight hours.

Ditch the drive

Dodge the traffic and jump on one of our many bikes that are up for hire. Take an easy ride to stunning Silver Sands beach, Len Howard Conservation Park, or, the famous foreshore, where you can set up a picnic.

With bikes for people of all ages, you can ensure the whole family has a great time. There’s even a chariot for little ones which is attachable to any bike, or a tandem for two to try something new.

Cycling is a great way to get where you need to go without spending time in stuck in the car—and, it doubles as a bit of cardio. What a good excuse to eat as much as you like!

Heading out for a bite?

Don’t feel like catering? Again, save yourself the drive and search for a carpark, and dock one of our boats or bikes at one of many restaurants and cafés in the Marina or Dolphin Quay. Check out our What To Do page for some popular suggestions!

Happy Australia Day!

We hope you all have a truly relaxing long weekend, and a very happy Australia Day. We love that we get to give residents and tourists alike an opportunity to appreciate our amazing country’s natural beauty and are extremely thankful for your support.
